The management of Fragrance Palace Budget Hotel had decided to sell the property to a consortium that would convert it into a boutique hotel. The architect has been charged thus embarked on a project to interview the previous occupants of Room 545 to extract some inspiration for his design.
Mark Lee and Charmaine Ang's characters (Ah Guan and Shirley) sparkled among the numerous cast from the previous episodes. As they sat in front of the camera, they narrated to the architect what happened after Shirley was driven out of the room. She continued to visit room 545 to look for Ah Guan. Gradually, love blossomed and they began living together with his mum. However, they continued to lie to his mother about his condition, so she'll not be heartbroken. And till the day when he is really sick, they would move back to the same budget hotel and wait till Guan has his last breath. Together.
The episode ended with a monologue by the architect with a touching quote:
"Singapore has so many new, and so little old. Do we have to remove the things that are of significance to some people? The tacky curtains, the creaky bed. We don't have to replace them with expensive designer furniture. Well.. it will be best if we just.. Do Not Disturb"
