Recipe for L.I.F.E.

At L.I.F.E group last night, we did a very interesting exercise. We were asked to identify and discuss the elements of our life and how much time and effort it is likely to take in 2009. I am sure 2009 will be better since I finished my diploma studies and would have more personal time on hand.

What was more interesting was we had to write out a recipe on how we would manage these elements. Here's mine:-

Ingredients
1. 300g of Personal – consisting of equal portions of Gym, Entertainment, Family

2. 300g Partner

3. 300g Work

4. 100g Church - consisting of approximately equal portions of Word, Ministry and Holy Spirit

Directions
1. Shred Gym, Entertainment and Family to create more opportunities to enjoy “Personal” activities. Be careful not to turn it into a mash because it’s so wrong to surf YouTube, play with Ezekiel, while doing your bicep curls at the Bodypump lesson. Drain off any excess perspiration, laughter and cam-whoring. Keep it chilled while preparing the other ingredients. [A]

2. Look at “Partner” intently, giving her your 100% attention. Massage it with generous amount of tender loving care. Make her happy by putting her in your favourite bowl. Let it sit pretty for 10min. [B]

3. Trim off the unwanted excesses of bosses, regulators and overtime from “Work”. This step make take a bit of time, but remember to add 2 heaped teaspoons full of bonus and public holidays. Add more to taste! [C]

4. Toss [A], [B] and [C] together with Ministry and Word in large salad bowl.

5. Ensure all ingredients are well mixed. Wink 20 times. Serve!

6. Enjoy your dish with a glass of Holy Spirit.

Bon Appetit!
