Mom & Baby

*Mom and our favourit-est Chocolate Mint Tea cake*

Celebrated my Mom's 60th birthday at dinner this evening. Somehow family dine-outs are getting mechanical, if you know what I mean.
Step 1: I will suggest a place.
Step 2: Ask parents if they have any preferences, if not, if they are ok with my proposal.
Step 3: Call my elder brother ("Kor") to agree on the time and location which often involves consideration such as ERP, parking, proximity.
Step 4: PS, I, Pop and Mom will turn up at the agreed time and wait patiently for Kor and his family to turn up. Yes, I really don't understand why the one who drives often turn up the late. ~Sigh~.

Anyway, we headed to Soup Restaurant for dinner cos my parents loved the food the previous time we were there. It is healthy Chinese cuisine with a capital H! Think Chinese herbs, Chinese herbs and Chinese herbs. Erm.. ok, I know it is not very helpful! Well, I say this is the kind of food that all F&B outlets should prepare for their diners. And not those laksa, char kway teow that are more likely to increase the chance of hypertension or heart attack.

*All looking good after those nutritious soups*

Kor was late, by almost 30 min. Well, this time there was a valid reason. Baby Eze has been pretty ill for a week from a condition Times Magazine call Anal Leakage (to be politically correct). But in efficient Singaporean lingo, it is known simply as "Lao Sai" (diarrhoea). Come to think of it, Tintin is a victim of tummy upset quite often too, especially when I consume cold dairy products on an empty stomach. While I will immediately pop some anti-diarrhoea medicine from my friendly company doctor, poor Eze suffered for almost a week before my brother and sister-in-law brought him to the doctor on Friday! Imagine all those watery poo and crappy feeling whenever his tummy churns.  *Poor thing*

No wonder he has lost a bit of weight. Eze, be good and get well soon ya. 叔叔 HEART You!
