ilove.SG

To set the record straight, it's SG for Singapore, and not that BNP Paribas' competitor. Yes, I am fiercely loyal to my company.

Some people have noticed the big fat icon sitting on the corner of my blog. This is actually ilove.sg – the pledge, a non-profit movement started and supported by the very people who create and really care about our nation’s creative endeavors. This pledge is a simple testament to our conviction and support for our local talents.

Supporting our local talents in film, music, design and the arts goes beyond not buying pirated products and enjoying the works on free-to-air channels, on the radio and chancing upon an exhibition or performance - when they are free.

It is about buying local. And it takes more than just loving the word ‘love’. Join me in doing at least one of the following:
1) Watch a made-in-Singapore movie in the cinema, or get the original DVD/VCD. (Ok , I shall forgive if you chose Jack Neo's production)

2) Buy a made-in-Singapore music album or attend a Singapore musician's performance/concert. ( Yes, even 881 Hokkien techno counts)

3) Buy a work of a Singapore artist/designer or attend their exhibition.

Take the pledge today! Send this site to your friends, plaster that big fat icon on your blog, and get everyone involved!

Now, when can we ever see STB selling T-shirts that scream "I LOVE SG" like how they do in New York.
