Merry Making @ F1 Weekend

The F1 weekend was a perfect excuse to party. Ok.. It is actually 3 @#*$ DAYS of PARTY!!

*Party in the Pool*

I just have to rave about the Chivas Live @ RVP Party held on Day 1 of the Singapore GP. It was awesome.. mind-blowing.. absolutely fabulous! Thanks to the good guys at Chivas, the defunct River Valley Pool was reopened for 1 night of progressive house and trance by Yukun, Aldrin and guest act Chicane. The free flow Chivas and the electrifying atmosphere was amazing, as PS and I partied the night away. After missing out on the previous Chivas Party at Cavenagh Bridge, our long wait to get into the RVP was worth it. Oh, did Tintin mention that it was free?

The 2nd day of the Singapore GP was spent at a dear brother's place in the East. The usual suspects from my church service decided to do an atas (upmarket in local malay language) BBQ. E and I have this thing about letting our food cook slowly on the grill unattended, while we enjoy our choice of poison and engage in mindless chatter.. ahem, I mean.. fellowship under the beautiful evening sky. So gone are the sotong balls, otah, satay, and we have asparagus and bacon cocktails, sambal fish, beef chops, wine and ice cream. We even had the electric fan to aid us in flaming the charcoal, such a brilliant idea right?! Haha. The night was splendid as we took the chance to catch up on each others' emotional lives, as we are all guilty of getting too caught up with our respective ministries.

The 3rd day of Singapore GP was my turn to host a party! So blessed to have my partner doing this dinner together with me at my house. We made a few dishes -  spaghetti bolognaise, wasabi potato salad, fruit salad, and party cocktail platter, to complement the pizza that arrived at the evening. It was meant to be a get-together for my friends from college, but it soon turned into a matchmaking session for Christian singles. Other than the usual gang from NBS, PS and I invited friends from church and school to let them have the chance to mingle. Oh well, let's just say F1 took most of the attention. My guy friends hardly spoke to the ladies! How dumb can it get right? Next time perhaps. Nevertheless, we all had a great time pigging out and watching the exciting race on TV.

Enough of the food and wine. Time to hit the gym!
