Warning! Singapore's grand dame The Straits Times is slowly turning into a tabloid. Just when you thought The New Paper, 联合晚报 Lian He Wan Bao or 新明日报 Xin Min Ri Bao are jointly responsible of the local coverage of sleazy, trashy and almost unimportant happenings, we woke up one morning to see allegations of a golf player's extra-marital affairs on the front page of The Straits Times. In fact, it was ABOVE the news about the US$60b debt default by Dubai. Sometimes you just wonder what the editor is watching during his free time.
