A woman's worst enemy is none other than another woman. This is coming from my observation that ladies usually don't bat an eyelid in snatching an empty seat from a heavily pregnant or old lady on the public bus/train, and the absolutely disgusting toilet manners noted at the Ladies (I didn't witness it myself, but this reporter did). And also recently, there's also a rather public catfight between the incoming and outgoing committee members of the Association Woman of Action and Research (AWARE).
9 of the 12 existing executive committee members, whom they call themselves "Old Guards" (seriously, I wouldn't give myself that term) were unglorioulsy booted out at the AGM by new members that have joined the organisation early year, and were reportedly to be upset that the incoming exco members have exploited a loophole in AWARE's constitution to have orchestrated such a victory. Then again, that leaves you questioning their views on the democratic voting system. A former AWARE President even commented:-
'It was alarming. How could a new member who had just joined for a couple of months, and whom we knew nothing about, be picked over someone who has been with Aware for more than 15 years?'
What got me slightly disturbed was a fleeting fear that there could be a shift in the values of the Non-Government Organisation that embraces equality for all regardless of race, religion or sexuality. Newswire sources noted number of the new exco members have voiced strong views against homosexuality, and it could be anybody's guess if the NGO begins to "attack" their own gender for the different lifestyle/ orientation.

Man (*no pun intended*), if that happens, that will really be case of self-fulfilling prophecy.
Meow.
