Reservist is so bad that it is indescribable sometimes. Tintin just survived through 2 weeks of of national service reservist training. I gathered it's the government's way of wishing my battalion a "Happy New Year".
Any Singaporean able-bodied man will tell you SAF contains the most painful inefficiencies in Singapore's public service. Everything is subject to change until the last minute, so you can throw the deadlines, schedules or whatever planning out of the window. Expect the most unexpected. And lots of time wasted on waiting. L-O-T-S. That isn't a bad thing if you have mates to talk to, but to do that while wearing the combat uniform and getting stuck on a stuffy military vehicle really stretch our sanity.
Oh well, at least it is over, well other than the post-ICT symptoms of bad skin, bad health, and copious amount of OT to clear the backlog at office.
