Where art thou, Dress Sense?

*Bad dress sense is evil*

I may not be a fashion guru, but these things are just plain u-g-l-y:

• Crocs

This is probably the most popular unpretty thing anyone can wear on their feet. Those chunky rubber bricks that come in almost every thinkable fluoroscent colours are a visual nightmare. I can only take comfort that I don't see an entire family wearing the same design.. too often. You may say you are wearing those ugly things for comfort, then I rather choose a pair of timeless flip-flops (in an attractive colour) anytime. Thank goodness my gf loves the design that actually looks like a decent pair of ballerina pumps. Yes, I must say she has good taste. *flick hair*

• Leggings

Is this an imported Korean fashion fad or disaster, I really don't know. But it sure is an unpretty sight to see women's legs wrapped in elastic spongy material. Worse when they are shiny, printed or striped. *gasp* I know what they say about women rights. Yes, girls are free to wear leggings, but when leggings are worn outside the gym, and paired with a dress or under a skirt, it just look so wrong. So so so so so wrong. Ok, you get my point.

• Ah Lian accessories

I should not judge people based on who they are (Jesus also loves Ah Lians ok?!). But I nearly choked when I saw Ah Mei in this MTV. It is one of my favourite song from her in recent years, and I actually thought her LBD, smouldering eye makeup and her flowing tresses made her look rather pretty. But those huge dangling star-shaped ear-rings are so salah ("wrong" in malay language)! That person that dressed her ought to be fired and banned from working in the wardrobe section. Ok, he may be forgiven if he's dressing up the performers at Singapore's Lunar 7th Month Getai (a form of local street performances that entertain mostly horny old men).
