Multi-tasking

I was just telling S that I cannot really multi-task. I was abit afraid to turn my head up to the sky to enjoy the full moon while walking her home that night. I mean... Who knows if you will trip over some object and suffer a bad fall, right?

Yours truly's best budd J just got his license recently, and is considering getting a car. *So lucky right?* Well, I don't drive for many reasons. One was to create less pollution (nice was of saying I'm cannot afford a car and have to cook up a dumb reason, heard that SMRT?), and yes if you notice, very few accountancy graduates drives cos of our cost-benefit analysis deemed it to be a liability. Period.

So a recent article on our local Straits Times really got me interested - a survey on motorists, and what they do while driving. It seems that drivers are really good at multi-tasking! Other than driving, they also eat, shave, change clothes, read, smoke and even apply make-up. Yeps, all except picking up mobile phone (if you really believe that!) because that is prohibited by Singapore law - if convicted, the person is punishable up to a $230 fat fine, 12 demerit points, or even disqualification from driving. Hmmm... but if I don't remember wrongly, I do have friends that perform really kinky things behind the steering wheel. =p

All those hype over this article just got me wondering - driving must be really boring to these chaps, or they are really pressed for time. Nope, I have nothing against drivers at all. =)
