I just sold my life to my employer for the next year and a half. You see, my employer has nominated yours truly for a course conducted by the International Compliance Association and Manchester Business School. It is an exciting piece of news definitely, partly because it is a professional course that will really add value to my experience. However, the qualification is labeled a diploma, and we all know it is a dirty word in our local education system. Somehow, a Master's or Bachelor's sounds better. Agree?
Oh well, as they say, there's no such thing as a free lunch. I had to sign a 6 months bond after completion of the 1 year course. So there! You can guess how heavy my heart is get when a HR consultant calls me to seek my interest in an available Compliance position.
Sigh... Life on the rat race!
