Piggie New Year!

Yep, 2007 is the year of the PIGGIE! And Singapore loves it, let us count the ways..

1. Singapore cannot live CNY without our Bak Kwa (roasted flavoured pork slices) - Bee Cheng Hiang or Lim Chee Guan? The bitter rivalry between these two home-grown companies serving this new year delicacy just blows you away during this time of the year. So long my Bak Kwa is done sweet and a bit chao tar (i.e. burnt).. who cares!

2. We make sure nothing is left from the pig. Yes, it's the infamous Kway Chap (pig innards with thick rice noodle) - from intestines, stomach, liver, kidneys, heart, skin, what-not, the Chinese peepz in Singapore eat them ALL! (we try hard not to think what rubbish piggies eat to grow to THAT size)

3. Chinese are greedy pigs (*ahem*) - Just look at the mad scramble for cheap stuff at the Post Christmas / New Year/ Hari Raya/ Chinese New Year sales... If you are lucky, you may catch Yours Truly at the men's department! haha!
