There are moments where you wished you could have been more honest but to display tact, graciousness, and more than often, basic common sense, you chose to deliver a flattering message filled with innuendos and ugly lies. And sometimes, you just wonder if you should genuinely be sincere in you speech, as you desperately try to reconcile emotions and rationality.
Trust me, I seconded my boss when she commented that Compliance ranks among the worst jobs on Earth, notwithstanding the challenges make it interesting at the same time. Beside dealing tricky issues with regulators, and managing internal risks, we often had to double up as a help desk for our business lines. God is really asking me to put my faith actions when an uneducated pig unreasonable colleague shouted across the room, blaming me for a delay caused by the regulators.

WTF (do I look like the regulator?!)
All sense of civility seems to have evaporated at that moment..
I twisted and turned my thumb..
I took a deep breath..
I said a little prayer in my heart..
God, give me a loving heart and strength to tame the tongue..
I went to his desk, looked into his eyes and calmly explained the case with facts.

I avoided what could be a really ugly confrontation with an extremely rude dealer (many of them are, by the way), and chose to let the matter rest. Of course, besides ventilating the frustration on my blog. I knew I needed to react differently because..
"Our tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Like a spark that set a great forest on fire, the tongue is a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, and sets the whole course of his life on fire."
~ James 3 : 57
"Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks.."
~ Matthew 12:34
It is only human that we struggle to be honest to our emotions or to exercise love and discipline in our behaviour. I sincerely hope with the His grace, Tintin can speak from his heart words that make rather than hurt a person. That's really putting faith into actions.
