This should be called Singapore Season of Incessant Feasting, period. As the Chinese New Year gets nearer to the Gregorian Calendar's New Year, Singaporeans find themselves having a super extended holiday season the lasts for 2 whole months - Hari Raya, Christmas, New Year, Thaipusam, and now Chinese New Year.
Thinking of the damage all the eating can do to me, I've decided to go on a calorie efficient diet this Chinese New Year. I cannot avoid the reunion dinners with my extended family members and friends, but at least I can make the most out of every calorie that came with the new year goodies. So there - my stomach will have space only for love letters, bak kwa and the occasional kueh lapis. There'll be no provision made for other nonsense like pineapple tarts and peanut cookies. So don't tempt me! *haha*

Whatever it may be, please, allow me to wish you a very blessed Year of the Rat. More health, more beauty, more happiness, and more money!
